True Friendships

It amazes me how you have these friends, best friends for so long and you know you love them but when something terrible happens to them there is that reminded of just how much you love them. To see my friend in pain I just wanted to take the pain away and put it on me. It broke my heart to see you hurting and know there was nothing I could do. Its sad that something terrible has to happen for you to remind yourself just how much you can loves someone that is not apart of your family. But then you realize he is, and will always be apart of your family.

Lent

What to give up for lent? I've been racking my brain for the last few days trying to figure this out. Here are some things I came up with:
nightly treat (this occurs after the kids go to bed)
coffee (really kate? REALLY?)
Dunkin donuts (I have a small panic attack when that thought entered my head)
Starbucks (again another panic attack)
sugar
cooking ;-)
facebook and YYY
chips
soda

Well, Chips and soda, I really don't have often enough to consider not having them a sacrifice. No sugar, I think my bodied go into shock my friend gave this up for a month a few months ago, you never realized how much refined sugar is in EVERYTHING. Nightly treat..I could do it probably should do it, but no. Facebook/YYY, again could do it, but really not worth it, its one of my only saving graces during the day. Now we come to coffee, giving up all coffee, not an option. Giving up both DD and Starbucks..again I get a panic attack just thinking about it (esp, since I think about how much I'll be in NY over the next 2 months) and I have free coffee coupons for DD, I can't do DD..So Starbucks it is. I went off with a bang yesterday, I had a steaming hot venti White chocolate mocha. num num num...so good. See you in 40 days Starbucks

Pressure

So in the last 24 hours We've gotten word of 2 set dates for weddings and one impending date for a wedding (the only got engaged on Thursday night Congrats Brookie!!). But holy moly I've never felt so much pressure to start planning our wedding. Funny how being pregnant..twice..while not married and not even really technically engaged. Try and figure that one out. Anyway with an impending move (probably) to Waterloo, I feel even more pressure to start our new life in Canada married. But I wanted to lost the baby weight, and we would be leaving soon..like within the next 6 months...not enough time to plan a real wedding..Sigh, Hopefully we'll figure it out soon.
